Computer Science student at the University of Georgia
Developer based out of Athens, GA
I am a full-stack developer and student at the University of Georgia focused on the philosophy of life-long learning. Whether I'm managing large-scale databases and building APIs in the back-end or developing an intuitive user experience in the front-end, I always enjoy applying logic, creativity and collaboration to any work I do. As a growing coder in college, I'm eager to explore how software design impacts real people and to find a path that lets me make a positive difference in the world.
Outside of coding, I stay engaged in my college community by getting invovled with on-campus events and organizations. My goal is to bring together the tech community at my school and foster interest in the field by creating inclusive spaces where students can learn, connect, and build together. For fun, I like to explore creative outlets like fashion.
I’ve worked across the stack, and I’m especially drawn to backend development. During my internship at Krowd Guide, I strengthened my engineering skills and discovered how much I enjoy building the systems behind the user experience. I’m driven to make technology more accessible and useful through software that helps people find and use the information they need.
I research and build software that makes digital documents easier to navigate for people with low vision. My work combines semantic search and accessible reading tools to help people find and understand the information they need.
As Lead Director of UGAHacks, UGA’s flagship hackathon, I lead a team of 37 organizers across 4 teams in planning the university’s 12th annual event. I’m especially proud of helping launch UGA’s first CADathon, bringing engineering and computing communities together through a new kind of student competition. Organizing has taught me how thoughtful events can build connections across campus and create more ways for students to collaborate, create, and learn.
